ORCA Opportunity: High School

The ORCA Opportunity program distributes free, unlimited 12-month ORCA cards to high school students at Seattle Public Schools. Cards are valid on King County Metro, King County Water Taxi, Seattle Streetcar, Sound Transit, Community Transit, Pierce Transit, Kitsap Transit, Everett Transit, and Seattle Center Monorail.

How it works


ORCA Opportunity is available to qualifying students.

  • If you are a high school student enrolled in Seattle Public Schools, no application is necessary, and you can pick up your ORCA card during orientation or at the main office of your school.
  • Distribution has changed during COVID-19. Please email transORCA@seattleschools.org for more information about how to receive your ORCA card.
